Trinity Lodge was instituted on April 21, 1928 and charted by the Most Worshipful Eureka Grand Lodge, Free and Accepted Masons (name changed June 21, 1944 to the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Louisiana) at the Grand Lodge Session held in Elizabeth, Louisiana on the 20th day of June, 1928 by Grand Master Jno. G. Lewis, Sr.

The first Worshipful Master was Brother Aubrey Lazarus Brunner, (raised in Composite Lodge # 126 in 1918 and in 1925 he demitted to Alpha Lodge # 9), who was only 43 years old, when he was appointed by the Right Worshipful Deputy Grand Master, Brother Scott A.
